When Gospel Broadcasting purchased WYZD Radio (1560 AM) in Dobson, North Carolina, in 2002, WYZD Radio was a 1000-watt day-time only station. Since its purchase, many improvements have been made. In 2011, Gospel Broadcasting filed a construction permit with the FCC to increase the power to 4200-watts, and in June 2013, after installing the new transmitter and other new equipment, WYZD increased its power to 4200 watts. In January 2019, WYZD’s FM Translator went on the air at 95.3 FM. .AM Sign-On and Sign-Off Time
